Igor has worked in clinical nephrology and internal medicine for more than 25 years.
While acting as Head of the Internal Medicine Department in Nove Mesto na Morave Hospital, Czech Republic, his responsibility was day-to-day management of both standard and intensive care units. Currently he is the Head of the Nephrology Department and Hemodialysis unit. As an external Medical Advisor for pharmaceutical companies he provides consultations mainly in nephrology, internal medicine, and diabetology. As a trainer he educates investigators mainly in the fields of renal anemia, peritoneal dialysis, and hemodialysis.
Igor has participated in many clinical trials as an investigator and a principal investigator. In the field of nephrology the clinical trials he participated in addressed mainly the issues of renal anemia, diabetic nephropathy, hyperphosphatemia, and peritoneal dialysis. Other common areas he has investigated include, but are not limited to hypertension, heart failure and DVT.
His extensive experience led him to be a perfect addition for collaboration with GCP Service International. As a Medical Monitor his role includes: setting up the Medical Monitoring Plan, training of investigators and CRAs on specific procedures, providing medical review of patients’ data, and answering specific questions from investigators.
