Vendor Manager / Vendor Manager Assistant (m/f/d) in Bremen
We are currently looking for a full-time Vendor Manager Assistant to strengthen our global vendor management team at our headquarters in Bremen.
Daily job duties performed by vendor managers differ depending on the types of services being offered by the company and the number of vendors being used to provide the services. The core tasks associated with this job are universally the same in all Contract Research Organizations (CROs). Hence our expectations and tasks are:
- Identify and recruit, conduct interviews and meetings with new vendors. This is always done under cost effective criteria and with the aim to ensure and maintain longevity of professional relationships and cooperation
- Negotiate new and existing vendor contracts and budgets
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and vendors by communicating with them frequently to answer questions, maintain a good working atmosphere, ensure high quality service and increase their satisfaction levels
- Establish standards and guidelines for vendors and monitor vendors to ensure these policies are being followed – evaluate performance and quality of services provided
- Act as the intermediate global contact person and problem solver for all different departments and teams located in Bremen and for all branches at other locations
Your profile:
- University degree (business management/marketing or similar)
- Completed commercial apprentice training (desirable)
- Mastery of Microsoft Office applications
- Flawless oral and written ability to express yourself in the German language (desirable)
- Good written and spoken English knowledge
- You should enjoy working in a dynamic environment, be an effective team player whilst maintaining a confident and personable demeanor
- You should have the ability to organize, schedule and prioritize tasks, always keep the overview and perform well under pressure
- You have to be independent, solution-oriented and have a structured way of working
- You should feel comfortable to take initiative to offer suggestions for decisions and figure out solutions, also taking into consideration the cost-benefit aspects
- We expect absolute discretion over confidential data and documents
