IT Manager (operational) (m/f/d)

We are looking for an IT Manager to support and carry out the operational responsibilities of the IT department at our Bremen location. The role focuses on IT service provision, Microsoft 365 administration, end-user support, and IT security, in accordance with established internal procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is a hands-on, operational role with direct involvement in daily IT activities and user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support services for end users, including 1st- and 2nd-level support
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (users, groups, licenses, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and disposal of client systems, servers, printers, and mobile devices
  • Assist with maintenance of company networks and server rooms
  • Assist in ensuring availability and secure operation of IT services according to defined procedures
  • Support IT security measures and incident handling
  • Document IT incidents, solutions, and changes in designated systems
  • Support fault prevention and corrective actions as assigned
  • Communicate clearly with users and stakeholders in German and English

Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have)

  • Completed education or training in IT / Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Practical experience in operational IT support or IT administration
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Solid understanding of Windows client environments, user and access management, and IT service processes
  • Strong communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Structured, reliable, and security-aware way of working

 Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Linux systems
  • Experience with identity management (Entra ID)
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (Intune)
  • Experience with IT ticketing or incident management systems
